13th Annual Blessing of the Animals

Saturday, October 14th 2017 at 10:00 A.M.

in our Garden

(in case of rain we will move into the sanctuary--pets are welcome)

The Blessing of the Animals is one time your pets are invited to come to church … of course leash, crates, or cages are necessary to keep them safe!

The service will explain the origin of the tradition and what we mean by ‘bless’.  This is a very important concept for young and old to understand our connection to God’s world - both its blessings to us and our stewardship obligations to it.

The service is pet and child friendly lasting only 20 minutes with lots of wonderful lessons and a happy appreciation of God’s creatures.

There will also be a screen available for you to pin your pictures of ‘pets in memorial’ and we will give thanks for their time with us.  Also there is space for your favorite pet pictures.

(don’t forget your pictures after the service)

Our offering will be for the TRI-CITY ANIMAL SHELTER.  We ask that you bring a donation of pet food, paper towels, used towels, or money to support those animals now being cared for by Tri-City Animal Shelter.

We end with refreshments.

People cookies and pet cookies for all!!
